"Deze cocktailbar vind je midden in het centrum op de Oude Binnenweg tussen de oudste kroegen van de stad. Bartender en eindbaas Daryl noemt The Rumah dan ook een cocktailkroeg. Prachtig natuurlijk dat deze bar zo laagdrempelig is en dat er ondertussen op hoog niveau geshaked wordt. Je hoeft je hier absoluut niet de generen als je een biertje bestelt. Zoals de naam je misschien al doet vermoeden speelt rum hier een belangrijke rol. "Nog steeds in Rotterdam kruipen we aan de bar bij Darryl, Eddy en Eva. Gelukkig is er nog plek. Naast ons biertje staat een piña colada uit de slushmachine, want daar staan ze immers bekend om bij The Rumah. We vragen naar hun negroni, want daar komen we natuurlijk eigenlijk voor. Wat hebben ze gemaakt? Darryl en Eddy beginnen keihard te lachen. "Een aardbeienmilkshake, maar dan beter!"
