"Vijf jaar geleden zaten we voor het eerst aan de bar bij Mr. Smith, verscholen in een gewelvenkelder in Wyck. Voor ons op de houten bar staat een smokey old fashioned, erachter staat mede-eigenaar Pieter-Jan De Peuter. Eigenhandig wil hij laten zien dat liefhebbers niet naar "de grote stad hoeven" voor een fantastische cocktail. Met deze speakeasy lukt dat vrijwel direct – want hij scoort in 2017 meteen een Entree Award voor beste nieuwe cocktailbar van Nederland.
